Dr. Anand Rao is a distinguished interventional cardiologist with more than 22 years of experience in performing complex coronary and structural cardiac. Recognized as one of the top heart specialists in Mumbai, he is known for his mastery in handling challenging cardiac cases, including left main disease, bifurcation stenosis, advanced coronary blockages, extensive calcium and complex anatomy.
An MBBS, MD and DNB (Cardiology) specialist, Dr. Rao has been a pioneer in Imaging-guided interventions, shaping the evolution of modern interventional cardiology in India. His sharp clinical judgment, meticulous technique, and compassionate patient care have earned him immense respect—firmly placing him among the best cardiologists in Mumbai.
Dr. Rao has contributed to major clinical trials and has multiple publications in leading journals. Actively involved in cardiology education and innovation, he has served in key leadership roles, including Organising Secretary for the Cardiology Summit (2004 & 2006) and Course Co-ordinator for Transradial Live 2005. He currently practices at Holy Family Hospital, Mumbai.
